Maps Ruler is a handy tool for measuring terrain, areas and distances directly on the map. Mark points or draw with your finger to measure lots, farms, fields, properties, roads, routes and any shape visible on the map. Measure distances, calculate area and perimeter, draw the boundaries of a piece of land and save your measurements to consult them later. Since 2009, Maps Ruler helps make measurements on maps for agriculture, land and property, outdoor activities and preliminary project estimates. Tap at least two points to measure a distance or three points to calculate an area. To measure faster, you can also continuously draw with your finger following a route or the boundary of a field. GPS is optional and is only used to show your current location. You can measure any visible location on the map without physically being there, making it easy to review a lot, farm, road or site before visiting it. Maps Ruler is designed for practical map measurements and preliminary estimates. Results may vary depending on images and map data, zoom level, GPS signal and point location. For legal boundaries or professional surveying work, use certified measurement data and equipment.
