Description

(2.1+) First deployed around 2012, this is a massively popular and highly customizable home screen digital time and date widget suite that has amassed over 14 million downloads. The utility provides multiple pre-configured grid scales (ranging from a compact 2x1 frame up to a wide 6x3 configuration optimized for early tablets). It allows users to modify text outline hues, adjust drop-shadow opacity, set custom gradient backgrounds, toggle a live seconds indicator, and choose from over 40 distinct font types or even import personal typeface files. A classic staple of early Android custom layouts, users famously had to exclude the app from background task killers to prevent the on-screen clock from freezing its time cycles.
